PPF is a polyurethane film 190-200 µm thick that takes every hit meant for the paint. Here is exactly what that gives you:
- ✓ Protection against stone chips — gravel, stones and small pieces of tar on the road never reach the paint. The film takes the hit.
- ✓ Self-healing — fine scratches in the film disappear when it warms up (in the sun or with hot water). That is the “Top Coat” technology in premium films.
- ✓ Protection against chemicals — de-icers, salt, insects and bird droppings do not eat into the paint, because they only ever touch the film.
- ✓ UV protection — the paint does not fade for years. Especially important for red, black and blue cars.
- ✓ Invisibility — clear films do not change the colour of the car. Nobody will see that the film is there.
- ✓ Water beading — water runs off the film in beads, taking the dirt with it.

The price depends on the car class, the surface area, the film brand chosen and the number of parts. Here are the basic packages:
The bonnet (all of it) + front bumper + headlights. The most common choice — 90% of stone chips land on these parts. The minimum budget for real protection from gravel on the motorway.
Everything in the previous package + front wings + mirrors + door handles + front sills. Full protection for the area that takes the hits.
The previous package + all the doors + the sills in full + the wheel arches. Protection from dirt thrown off the wheels, from scuffing on the doors, and lasting protection against damage from opening them.

🛠️ The fitting process — 8 steps
- Diagnosis — a thickness gauge over the whole body. We assess the condition of the paint and which parts really need film.
- Detailing wash — deep cleaning, clay bar, degreasing. Film holds only on a perfectly clean surface.
- RUPES BigFoot polishing — we remove scratches and holograms. Without this step the film “locks in” every defect in the paint.
- Degreasing with isopropyl alcohol — a 100% clean surface before the film goes on.
- Cutting the film to plotter patterns. Every car model has its own patterns — the film follows the shape of the parts without stretching.
- Fitting in a climate-controlled bay with no dust — critically important, because even a single speck of dust under the film stays there for good.
- Heat-setting the edges with an industrial heat gun — the film beds into every radius and the edges do not lift over time.
- Curing for 24 hours in the bay + handover of the car with a warranty card.
